Where is the leader of free world? President Obama, tear down your wall of silence! The entire Arab world is seeking freedom and democracy and the United States is doing nothing to help the people or even encourage them. This is the biggest abdication of leadership that I have ever seen come from Washington, D.C. Could our community organizer in chief really be so oblivious to the tsunami of change that is sweeping through northern Africa?

Mr. Obama needs to get in front of this wave of change or the United States will be seen as part of the old repressive guard and the entire Arab world will turn into one giant Iran with unanimous hatred towards Americans. The clashes in that region are about human dignity and a yearning to be free of exploitation by totalitarian scum. It cries out for a Reagan moment. For those of you who did not hear President Ronald Reagan’s speech in 1987:

We welcome change and openness; for we believe that freedom and security go together, that the advance of human liberty can only strengthen the cause of world peace. There is one sign the Soviets can make that would be unmistakable, that would advance dramatically the cause of freedom and peace. General Secretary Gorbachev, if you seek peace, if you seek prosperity for the Soviet Union and eastern Europe, if you seek liberalization, come here to this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate. Mr. Gorbachev, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!

President Obama, lets hear you unequivocally come out in support of the protesters in Libya, Bahrain and retroactively for Egypt’s and Tunisia’s protesters. These are people who deserve our support and admiration. They are staring down the barrels of tanks, and in Libya; aircraft and naval ships, and winning. It is hard to keep people enslaved forever.

While you are at it, Mr. President, please remember the people of Venezuela and Cuba who are also being repressed much closer to home.

Nothing is better than victory. The Republicans and the Tea Party Movement have shown the White House and the arrogant Democrat leadership that we the people really can make a difference and can change the balance of power when provoked.

Republicans now control the House of Representatives. I find that rich in historical significance. This is the chamber of Congress that was designed to most represent the wishes of the people at the closest level to their homes—a district. Maybe we can now expect some representation of our wishes and not the steamrolling dictatorship that Pelosi, Reid and Obama constituted.

I have been ignoring this site for quite some time. It has not been from lack of enthusiasm or lack of disdain for President Obama’s abusive and arrogant use of power, but instead because of a common sense need to focus on my business and make sure that it continues to function well and grow. I have noticed that the number of viewers of the site has steadily grown despite the lack of new content. This is clearly indicative of an electorate that was and is fed up—an electorate that wanted real hope and desired to keep its change rather than give it to Washington bureaucrats.

I will try to write more frequently from now on. If President Obama continues to ignore the message from November 2, you can count on my discussing it here. I also invite anyone who is interested in having guest spots on this blog to contact me. My e-mail is robert at this domain name.

Let’s now take a moment to savor this great victory!

Frank Rich, a op-ed columnist for the New York Times wrote a piece recently that claims that the “<noindex>the rage is not about health care</noindex>.” He believes that the tea party movement, and those opposed to the health care bill that was signed into law by Obama, are racists who are afraid that their white America has been taken over by blacks, women and gays. This is rich (pun intended) from a white person. Here is a quote from his essay:

If Obama’s first legislative priority had been immigration or financial reform or climate change, we would have seen the same trajectory. The conjunction of a black president and a female speaker of the House — topped off by a wise Latina on the Supreme Court and a powerful gay Congressional committee chairman — would sow fears of disenfranchisement among a dwindling and threatened minority in the country no matter what policies were in play.

I find it disturbing that every time someone disagrees with a liberal, then that person has to be a racist or stupid, and often both. Please note Rich’s wording, “a wise Latina on the Supreme Court.” I don’t think she is all that wise. I think she has manipulated the system to move ahead by virtue of her Hispanic heritage.

What I found most disturbing about the health care legislation was the lack of transparency in the entire process. To this day, most people do not know what is in the bill or how it is going to affect most Americans. If Obama wanted to be a “post-partisan” president, then it was incumbent on him to be inclusive and create a law that would be beneficial to all Americans and that included ideas from conservatives and liberals. If that had been the case, then there would be no opposition to the health care law. Obama’s skin color does not mean squat to me and I think that it does not to a majority of people. It is his arrogance that I find disturbing.

I hope to see a day when liberals do not fall back on the specious claim of racism whenever they are challenged. Maybe then we can have racial peace in this country.

Full disclosure: I am a naturalized immigrant who was born in Cuba. I, therefore, do not belong to any of the groups mentioned—even the wise Latina’s group since I do not consider myself wise or a Latina. Here is another disclosure: I consider myself an American first, as we all should if we are enjoying the bounty and rights of this country.

President Obama is clearly the most arrogant president that we have had in recent memory. He jams the health care bill through congress by promising anything to get the Democrats to vote his way, and he thinks he has accomplished something akin to the New Deal. Now he is egging on the Republicans to run against the bill. Look at the video:

Be careful what you wish for Mr. President, you just may get it. What will you say when you lose majorities in both houses of Congress? What will you say on January 20, 2013 when you are heading back to community organizing in Chicago?

There are people who disagree with the Democratic party, but feel uncomfortable about a site called “Democrats SUCK.” I have many contacts that feel that the name is not professional or that it bashes the party unnecessarily. I disagree. I think it is important to use a name that will grab attention and readership and get people to think about all the ways that the country is going the wrong way.

Writing or reading a blog like this is meaningless without action. I have voted in every election since I was 18. I believe that we have to vote all the rascals out and limit the amount of damage they can do.

I am a Republican because Republicans are closer to my views. However, Republicans are hardly perfect.

The name of this site should not disturb moderates, it would not get as much traffic if it was called, "democrats-arent-nice.com." Just for the record, I tried to purchase "republicanssuck.com" and the person who owned it would not sell it to me because he feared I would simply keep it under wraps. If I owned that domain name, I can assure you that there would be entries on that site too. I try to build related sites with related names to enhance the branding. For example, I own yourviewssuck.com, but have not put any content there yet.

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you know that it is more moderate than the name might imply. I want responsible government that responds to the will of the people. What a concept! That is the concept that this country was founded on.

I am thrilled that so many people are becoming more active in determining the future course of the United States.

Yesterday, Senate Republicans offered 29 amendments to the health care bill that was passed by the House of Representatives. Many of these were designed to slow down the law or prevent it from being passed on a second vote in the House. At least one of these is just common sense. Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) offered an amendment that would bar federal purchases of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for sex offenders. The senator claims that it is not only the right thing to do, but that it could also save millions of dollars.

Guess what the Democrats did with this amendment? They defeated it in a 57-42 vote. That vote shows you how hell bent they are about not letting anything get in the way of their precious takeover of health care in this country. I think it is an embarrassment before the eyes of the world that this amendment was not passed. The lives of children and innocent women are at stake.

There are many articles appearing across the Internet and in print that have summaries of things found in the bill that the President signed. Isn’t it outrageous that these details were not available to the public until the bill became law. How is that for open and transparent government?

Investors.com has an excellent article on how different sections of the bill will affect you, your business, your doctor, insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies. The article is called, “<noindex>20 Ways ObamaCare Will Take Away Our Freedoms</noindex>.” Please read it because it is incredibly important that we know the facts and are not led blindly in any direction.

Once you read it, you will know what a disaster Obamacare really is. I don’t know about you, but I know how that “hope and change” is working—it’s not.

If this humble site is any indication of the disdain that the American people have for the Democrats, President Obama and the new health care colossus, the electorate is angry indeed. On Saturday, my site received 50% more visitors than normal. This was indicative of the anger leading up to the storm.

Sunday, the day of the health care vote in the House of Representatives, the site received 400% more visits than is normal. Most of these visits came during and after the vote. Here are the leading keywords that were used on Sunday (in order):

democrats suck

democrates suck

why democrats suck

obamacare sucks

this sucks, health care passed

rascism

democrats suck ass

democrtas suck

demacrate suck

obama care sucks

obama healthcare sucks

george w bush democrat majority in the senate

dems suck

democracts suck

demecrates suck

brian williams sucks

Besides the fact that even misspellings are bringing visitors to the site, it is important to note the underlying theme that Democrats and Obamacare suck. As a side note, I think that George W. Bush is getting some blame for the Democrat majority that passed this legislation. I thought it was also funny that NBC anchorman Brian Williams was also thrown into the mix.

Monday, this site had even more explosive growth. The number of visits grew by 600%. The keywords were similar. Here they are in order of use:

democrats suck

obamacare sucks

democrates suck

democratssuck.com

speech on why democrats suck

"cash for clunkers" healthcare

democrat suck

we-are-screwed.com

obama suck

house of representatives suck

who thinks democrats suck

democraats suck

dems suck

health care bill passed democrats suck

white democrats suck

why the democrats suck

liberals suck quotes

democrats suck go to hell!!

rahm emanuel sucks

My favorite is “rahm emanuel sucks.” The “we-are-screwed.com” one is interesting in that it takes you to that domain which is redirected to democratssuck.com. I do not own or control that domain, so whoever is doing that, “Thanks!”

More importantly, the rise in visits and the keywords indicate the discontent that we feel. Obama and the Democrats can congratulate themselves until November. That is when we show them who is boss.

We need to vote in November and let the Democrats understand that power in this country comes from the people and it can be taken away by the people. The myopic vision of the Democrats is leading us and them to ruin.

Several times throughout the past year I have thought that the proposed health care bill would not pass or would be dropped because of opposition from constituents. I was wrong. The Democrats have been surprisingly stubborn and arrogant. Last night, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) twisted arms, negotiated, and threatened other Democratic representatives into voting for the Senate bill. It will now be sent to the President for signature. Once it is signed, the Senate must debate the reconciliation for at least 20 hours. It is during this period of debate, that the Republicans in the Senate can add amendments that might affect the outcome. However, I am not hopeful at this point. I think that this insane legislation will be the law of the land until it gets overturned on constitutional grounds.

For the first time in the history of the United States, the Federal government will mandate that we buy a service or be fined. Crazier than this mandate is the enforcement associated with it. If you or your employer do not comply, you will be fined. The government will also grant the IRS more powers. They will be the enforcement arm of this law. It is outrageous! We are taking the tax collectors and giving them police powers over the purchase of health insurance.

The immediate impact of this legislation is that taxes will go up. Employees will see less money in their paychecks for several years before seeing any return on their money. Employers will have to offer health insurance to employees including part timers. This will mean that it will not be cost effective to hire more employees and will lead to lower salaries for existing positions. The cost for this mandate has to be covered somehow and I guarantee it will be covered through higher prices to customers, less employment and/or lower salaries. It could also lead to more off-shoring of service jobs like telemarketing.

I know of one business that could be pushed into bankruptcy by this legislation because of the low margins associated with the business and the business’ need for dozens of part time employees to function. It sickens me to think that someone’s hard work at building a business and providing employment to many needy part time employees could all be wiped out by a Socialist and arrogant President and his zombies in Congress.

I am hopeful that several Attorney Generals will file lawsuits on the lack of constitutional basis for this legislation. However, it will take years for the lawsuits to get through the courts and, by then, the damage will have been done to many small businesses. Shame on the Democrats! Most of the lawmakers who pushed this through have not started a business, hired employees or struggled to make a payroll. That is why this arrogant group of do-nothing shit heads have passed this health care bill. (Yes, I realize it is the first time that I have cursed on this blog, but I think the circumstances merit it.)

It is now our turn. During the next election let’s vote every Democrat that is in office out. We need to tell them who is boss and they need to pay a heavy price. Losing a few seats is not enough. Losing every seat is not enough. I hope Democrats lose power forever. They want to take this country in a liberal and socialist path. That path is not what we the American people want or what made this country powerful and great. Do not forget this injustice. Vote all the bastards out!

I sent an e-mail to a friend in Greece asking him for clarification on what is happening there. I wanted a first hand perspective since we do not get much detail in the news media here. We are so saturated with news about House Speaker Pelosi’s (D-CA) health care machinations that we know nothing about the rest of the world. The following is what he had to say about the problems there:

Yes, it is true that in Greece we have a serious financial problem. You see the last few decades (starting from Andreas Papadreou in 1980’s) , Greek governments started getting loans, they hired lots of people on the public sector, although there was no need for so many people and they did not make the changes required to make the Greek economy more competitive. As a result, after about 30 years, we have a huge debt, we have lots of employees in the public sector and we have huge loans to pay back. In a sense the country has already bankrupted. On the contrary, in the private sector things are different, but the whole bad situation affects the private sector. In the private sector, salaries are not high (in several cases, the salaries are lower that the corresponding salaries of the public sector), people work lots of hours (in the public sector, people work less hours and are by far less productive), there is no job safety (in the public sector, there is a law that public employees can not be fired no matter what!) and there are lots of cuts on the benefits. As a result, the situation is not that good. There is lots of unemployment and things seems that will get worst. But we hope for the best. I hope and I believe that eventually we will recover and we will make it. But it won’t be easy and the current government has already started making changes, putting new taxes, but also cutting money from the lazy bastards of the public sector…it was about time! Nevertheless, all these changes and taxes have triggered "angry protests", as you said.

Does this sound eerily similar to the situation in the United States right now? It does and that is what makes it so scary. We need to change course, spend less and the people in power (Democrats) need to realize that living within our means will ensure a future for the country. Spending frivolously and passing expensive legislation that the people do not want or need is a path to bankruptcy. Vote the spenders out.
